PP - Polypropylene
Polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer, used in a wide variety of products. When used in our sleeve applications, Polypropylene is forty percent lighter in weight than comparable sleeves. This allows for substantially lower shipping cost. Polypropylene is also resistant to chemical attack, offers a wider temperature range and is the choice material used for long-term archival needs. Polypropylene is 100% recyclable.

SS
Patented Safety-sleeve® material is exclusive to our sleeve product line. The Safety-sleeve® fibers actually suspend the disc above the material while allowing small dirt and debris particles to fall to its base and become trapped away from the disc surface. Safety-sleeves® also eliminate much of the risk of damage that can occur with other types of packaging. The characteristics and look give our Safety-sleeve® products a higher value than other comparable materials.

EnvyPak™
Windowed envelopes and pouches provide 100% visibility of contents. The unique Envypak™ weld technology is durable and strong, providing an unlimited array of poly and poly/paper product styles. All EnvyPak™ products can be custom printed in vibrant full color and most can be laser printed. The most notable benefit of the EnvyPak technology is that it encourages such a wide variety of products in very diverse applications. Custom designed products can be manufactured and printed very economically, making it a perfect alternative for marketing and direct mail with relatively low minimum quantities.

Tyvek®
Made from very fine, high-density polyethylene fibers, Tyvek® brand protective material offers characteristics of paper, film and fabric in one material.

VF - vacuum form
Vacuum Forming is a manufacturing process that is used to shape a variety of plastics into ridged shaped products.

PVC: Vinyl material
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a widely used plastic. A traditional clear material that is long wearing and durable. The characteristics and look of vinyl give our products a higher perceived value than other comparable materials. Vinyl also offers flexibility in designing sleeves for specific customer requirements.

ABS
ABS plastic is a common thermoplastic used to make light, rigid, molded products such as our DJ 400 carrying case.

Corrugated
Boxes made from brown cardboard material that are scored for folding. The structure for the boxes is developed by sandwiching fluted kraft paper between sheets of paper or cardboard.

SBS
Solid Bleached Sulphate (paperboard) is a heavy layered paper. It is intended to be a rigid, durable form of paper used in packaging.

Bio Poly (Biodegradable polypropylene)
Also referred to as polypropylene with EBD (enhanced bio decomposition).  Safety-sleeve disc packaging, UniKeep molded products, EnvyPak products and Flexpax packaging can all be manufactured using polypropylene that is biodegradable in aerobic and anaerobic conditions without resulting in toxic residue.  Polypropylene with EBD maintains virtually all of the familiar features and significant benefits of virgin polypropylene. Biodegradable poly is recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.

PLA (polylactic acid) film
Safety-sleeve disc packaging, EnvyPak products and Flexpax packaging can all be manufactured using PLA films, including EarthFirst® PLA film made from NatureWorks polymer which is manufactured from #2 field corn. PLA is renewable and sustainable.  It is only certified as compostable to ASTM 6400 standard which is available at a limited number of facilities.
