Safety-Sleeve® Technology

|
keeps dirt away from discs
In all Safety-sleeve® products, the disc is suspended above a soft, non-woven, clean room material which uses no chemical binders and will not shed or form lint. Dirt and minute debris fall through the fabric and become trapped away from the disc.
less bulk & clutter
As a packaging and storage system, Safety-sleeves® are compact and significantly less bulky. More discs can be stored in less space and shipped at lower costs. The side profile of the Safety-sleeve® is 75% thinner than the standard jewel box and is significantly less expensive to ship. While offering unlimited flexibility in designing sleeves for specific customer requirements.
less risk
Safety-sleeves® also eliminate much of the risk of damage that can occur with other types of packaging. Felt or paper liners and cardboard sleeves can easily scratch a disc's surface as debris is trapped between the disc and its packaging. Safety-sleeves® are long wearing, durable, and inexpensive. The characteristics and look give our Safety-sleeve® products a higher perceived value than other comparable materials.
unparalleled disc protection in a variety of products
Our quality engineered, vinyl products and 100% recyclable U-1000 poly sleeves offer superior disc protection with Safety-sleeve® construction in a wide variety of products with virtually unlimited options. With our full service manufacturing capabilities, Univenture delivers an unparalleled combination of quicker turnaround times and overall lower costs for any disc or media packaging requirement.

UniKeep™ Technology

|
loose-leaf binding is born
Nearly 150 years ago, Henry T. Sission of Providence, Rhode Island was awarded a patent for the first loose-leaf binder. His invention, which has changed little over the years, had wide application and experienced tremendous success. However, these binders are relatively expensive, can pinch your fingers, don’t stack well and are environmentally unfriendly.
a more modern concept of document handling
To address these issues, Univenture founder Ross Youngs invented the UniKeep®, a truly revolutionary new loose-leaf binder for everyone in all markets. The UniKeep® is a fully enclosed, completely injection molded (including the rings) loose-leaf binder. The UniKeep® is durable, stackable, lightweight, archival, cost effective, space efficient, versatile, and very user friendly. The UniKeep® binder will not split at seams, pinch your fingers on metal rings, or misalign at the rings because of bent metal. The UniKeep® contains no PVC and is uniquely 100% polypropylene. Because of this, if a UniKeep® binder ever needs to be disposed of, it can be curbside recycled.
wide variety of sizes available
UniKeep® binders are available in .5", 1.0", and 1.5" sizes in single compartment and up to 6.0" in multi-compartment UniKeeps®. Each size is available as a view binder with a full wrap cover overlay which offers complete customization in a single cover sheet.

U-1000 Technology
 |
meets the needs of high volume disc packagers
In response to the growing needs of high volume packagers, Univenture developed the patented U-1000 system. The U-1000 is a totally integrated, automated packaging machine that can be operated by a single operator to produce complete disc packages that can include graphic insertion, printing, labeling and embossing. The U-1000 system utilizes environmentally friendly polypropylene to form a high quality, low cost optical disc packaging solution.
ultimate ease of configuration
Literally hundreds of package configurations can be achieved for virtually any packaging requirement, from low cost commodity applications to highly customized products. The system is easily and cost effectively customized.
highly cost effective solution
U-1000’s are located in our customers’ facility under a unique vending arrangement. The customer benefits greatly because there are no capital costs or logistics expenses (e.g. purchase orders, shipping, warehousing, inspections, handling) associated with buying and handling other packages. The U-1000 allows for customer control and turn-around while only paying for good product produced. Because of the efficiencies achieved, customers actually pay less per part.

AVS / AlgaeVenture Systems |
Algaeventure Systems (AVS) was spun-off to existing shareholders in October of 2009 and is focused on dilute liquid/solid separation technologies, remediation of natural bodies of water, and other technologies and products as a result of research efforts in the algal field. AVS was awarded a grant for $ 5.9 million from ARPA-E (Department of Energy) and work started in 2010 to advance specific separation technologies that open the door to economic viability for algal biomass to be used of fuels as well as other products.
